Ewout Steenbergen is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Booking Holdings Inc. As CFO, Mr. Steenbergen is responsible for all aspects of the worldwide finance organization, which includes Finance, Tax, Treasury, Accounting, Internal Audit, Corporate Development, Real Estate and Investor Relations.

Previously, Mr. Steenbergen was appointed CFO of S&P Global in 2016, where he played an instrumental role in acquiring Kensho, S&P Global’s artificial intelligence and innovation hub. He was a core member of the S&P Global leadership team that completed the company’s historic merger with IHS Markit in 2022 and served as President of the Engineering Solutions division prior to the company’s divestiture in May 2023. Mr. Steenbergen drove the introduction of new performance metrics, including the climate-adjusted earnings per share and S&P Global’s vitality index, a measure of the percentage of revenues derived from new or enhanced products. Under his leadership, S&P Global’s investor relations program consistently received recognition from investors and analysts alike. While at S&P Global, he served as Chair of the Board of CRISIL Ltd. (a S&P Global Indian public company).

Prior to S&P Global, he was Executive Vice President and CFO of Voya Financial, Inc. Under Mr. Steenbergen's leadership, Voya successfully strengthened its balance sheet, de-risked its investment portfolio and executed a robust initial public offering in 2013.

Other roles held by Mr. Steenbergen were CFO and Chief Risk Officer for ING Asia-Pacific and a number of management roles for ING Group, including serving as Regional General Manager in Hong Kong and as a Chief Executive Officer of RVS, an ING Group company based in the Netherlands. He has also held other international roles such as CEO of ING's Retail Business in the Czech and Slovak Republics and CEO of ING Nationale-Nederlanden Slovak Republic.

Mr. Steenbergen holds a master's degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Amsterdam and a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Rochester and from Nyenrode University. He also serves on the Board of Directors of UNICEF USA.
